Thursday, June 21, 20125 to 8pm Ladies Night Out, an entertaining evening of specialty treats and shopping in partnership with Trees from Home is scheduled to return to Silver Spring Drive in Whitefish Bay on Thursday, June 21, 2012.
Guests of last summer's event strolled the shops of Silver Spring Drive during extended hours for exquisite sweets and delectable drinks, dropping in to make donations to Trees From Home and lingering for live entertainment and great shopping deals. Many merchants had complimentary samplings and unique giveaways and raffles while free rickshaw rides were available to carry guests from one destination to the next. Linda Gumieny of Boutique Photographers, one of Silver Spring Drive's newest businesses, roved the shops photographing the fun, some images of which can be viewed here.
The evening was made possible by a partnership with Trees From Home, an organization that supports U.S. troops serving overseas, and the night's fun helped contribute towards their efforts. Guests were invited to craft miniature Christmas Trees for troops far from home over the holiday season at the Christmas in June Workshop outside of Winkie's. All the necessary supplies were provided while guests brought a little crafty creativity and thankful spirit making absolutely adorable trees as Trees From Home kicked off its 2011 season on this special summer night. Since 2009, Trees From Home, Inc. has sent thousands of 12-inch artificial hand-decorated Christmas trees to U.S. troops who cannot be home over the holidays. - Gallery 505 – Complimentary wine and live guitar music in their beautiful gallery.
- Harpo’s – Live belly dancing, refreshments, and a raffle for a fabulous gift basket!

- Indulge Studios - Wine and GloProfessional samples. Free GloTherapeutics eye cream and bronzer (full size!) with a $75 purchase of any products hair, skin, makeup. Scheduled 30-30-30 appointments featuring a 30 minute express facial and a 30 day travel size customized Dermalogica product for $30.
- Minoan Intimate Apparel - A champagne toast and henna tattoos along with the latest in lingerie.
- New Options Salon & Boutique - Free gifts from our Boutique for the first 25 ladies and a drawing for $150 worth of Salon & Spa services. A free gift card worth 10% of any regular gift card purchase of $100 or more to be used in the Salon or Boutique. A glass of wine to enjoy while shopping the great selection of Boutique summer arrivals. Guidance on new summer make-up application and many other great promotions and specials.
- Patricia Shoppe - Sarah Flanagan was in the store with her new collection of hand stamped jewelry assisting customers in designing their own personal piece in addition to savings of up to 30% on apparel.
- Placesetters - Complimentary mini cupcakes were available for everyone along with a 20% savings on merchandise throughout the store. Donations to Trees from Home at this location were honored with a complimentary flag pin.
- RedCap Luggage & Gifts – Ladies enjoyed being greeted by tuxedo clad gents with a courtesy rose in hand and gift bags filled with goodies along with having the opportunity to observe an impressive two minute packing demonstration complete with complimentary wine & refreshments.
- Ruhama’s Yarn and Needlepoint - Two fabulous prize baskets valued at $250 each were raffled off to visitors. The knitter basket included a beautiful bag, a knitting project, a woven scarf, and more. The stitcher basket included a large project bag, a needlepoint kit, interesting and unique fibers, and a lovely and unique stretched and hand-painted canvas. Both baskets also included gift cards from Breadsmith, Starbucks, and Ruhama’s
- Schwanke-Kasten – A wonderful assortment of appetizers were offered alongside a great selection of fine watches and exquisite jewelry.
- Simon Oliver – Complimentary wine was available for visitors along with discounts on apparel - a great idea for Fathers Day and all the great guys in your life!
- Stone Creek Coffee - Two for one espresso drinks.
- Three Wishes - Refreshments and a raffle for a custom Ladybug bucket.
- Winkie’s - A raffle on a Tea Forte Iced Tea kit and samples of Funky Chunky, Janis Melanie cookies, and Tea Forte Iced Tea. Specials also included 20% off jewelry, scarves, watches, and umbrellas with a special on sunglasses at $9.99 each or 2/$15 with free gift wrapping available, as always, and 10% of all sales going to Trees from Home.
